Christmas is fast approaching and if you’re still struggling to find the perfect Christmas gift, I’ve got a few suggestions. Finding that perfect gift for someone can be quite difficult, especially if you’ve got some vegan friends, some who aren’t and some who are vegetarian. Why not go cruelty free so that you’ve got gifts that would suit everyone and give the gift of a pain-free Christmas for animals too?

Finding a gift that would suit men and women alike can be difficult, but I’ve put together a range of presents that you can find for stocking fillers as well as budget friendly gifts for a variety of budget ranges.

Lip scrub by Lush, £5.75
I found out about the range of wonderful lip scrubs from Lush at the Spa in the City event (see here). The lovely people at Lush Kitchen have come up with Sugar Plum Fairy, the Christmas edition of one of their best products, in my opinion. I’ve used lots of lip scrubs in the past, but they always leave small painful bumps on my lips afterwards. Lush only uses natural ingredients so the exfoliating ingredient in this case is caster sugar so you know there’s nothing artificial about it. With a taste of blackcurrant and sweet wild orange oil, you’ll definitely be tempted to lick your lips once you’ve buffed up that pout – it’s safe to do so!
All lip scrubs are vegan and if you want another flavour that’s fun, my favourite is Popcorn.
Lip Butter by Lucky Cloud Skincare, £4
Lucky Cloud Skincare is a Edinburgh based company started by Lucy Cardwell. All products are botanical and vegan friendly and handmade in small batches. These lip butters are very nourishing and are reminiscent of my youth in their tins. You get to choose between coconut, vanilla and chocolate flavours and you have to smell them in person to believe it, but they’re divine! It’s getting cold and chapped lips are reappearing, but with this neutral packaging, men and women can slip these lip butters easily into their pockets for last-minute lip emergencies.

Lip Butter Trio by Lucky Cloud Skincare, £10
If you’re thinking about buying a present for a Secret Santa and you’re not sure if they would like just one (or they might like all 3!) lip butters, there is also the option to buy the lip butter gift set while saving a bit of money at the same time!
World Animal Protection Really Wild Gifts! starting at £10
Some acts of animal cruelty are blatant (like selfies with tigers and lion cubs or elephant rides) while some are covered up to prevent notice from animal welfare authorities. The World Animal Protection group offers gifts that allow you to give back to the animals by enabling staff to dig further into these unlawful acts of cruelty to animals. Starting at just £10, you can feed a bear or pay for an undercover investigation while £15 will help end bear-baiting or allow the organisation to help educate tourists, tour operators, local stakeholders and decision-makers to get exploitive elephant experiences off tourism wish lists.
There are also other items from the World Animal Protection shop you can buy from just £9.99 that also support their efforts to end animal cruelty here.
Vegan raw hemp protein shake sample box by Purition, £12.98
You can read all about my review on the Purition vegan raw hemp protein shakes here. If you’ve got a friend who is trying to eat healthier or is vegan and into fitness, the Purition vegan trial box is the perfect gift for those who are health conscious. As you can see from my review, I’m converted and plan on buying the 500g bags (buy here for £22.95 or for £16.95 each when you buy 3 with free Next Day Deliver) once I’ve used up the other commercial bag of whey protein I’ve still got a lot left of.
Booja Booja is a UK-based company producing vegan dairy-, soy- and gluten-free chocolates. The hazelnut crunch is my favourite flavour, but the company does also have other fantastic flavours to choose from which would be a perfect gift for chocolate lovers!
Navy Claudette bamboo scarf from Braintree Clothing, £15
A beautiful printed fashion scarf made from bamboo cotton, this scarf would be a wonderful addition to any lady’s wardrobe. Navy is the new black, and would be a perfect shade to match any outfit!

Large rare and vintage festive chocolate wreath by Hotel Chocolat, £22
This beautiful Christmas chocolate wreath by Hotel Chocolat is made with Saint Lucia Island Growers 72% dark chocolate, loaded with premium Piedmont hazelnuts, almonds and ruby cranberries. It measures 450g total and would make a beautiful centrepiece and once Christmas festivities are in full swing, a couple or a family would be able to break it up to enjoy it after the view has been admired by many! A gift that can be admired as well as enjoyed. Perfect for the practical-minded, anyone?
Dream Dust by Moon Juice, £25
Do you know someone who suffers from insomnia? Dream Dust is a powdered blend of soothing, stress-combatting plant-derived actives, which helps you to ‘switch off’ and drift towards a deep, recuperative slumber. With only the finest ingredients – including ziziphus jujube (used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to aid digestion (important for assisting rest and repair processes), chamomile to bring calm, polygala and schisandra berry – this eases you towards the ‘land of nod’ and works to regulate your body’s sleep patterns so you get back on track and wake up feeling energised and full of ‘joie de vivre’. Miranda Kerr is a reported fan and there are also other products as well from Moon Juice to choose from like Power Dust (for fitness), Beauty Dust (Gwyneth Paltrow swears by it for glossy locks and luminous skin) and Brain Dust (like juice for the brain to help mental agility and focus)!
Body and Lip gift set by Lucky Cloud Skincare, £25
While at the Makers & Friends wire jewellery event previously (see here), I was able to sample the testers for each of the available products currently available from Lucky Cloud Skincare and I had a hard time choosing the best product to walk out of the shop with. I ended up buying the Body Butter because I liked the feel of it on my skin, but if you’re treating a friend of yours, why not get them a gift set? You get a reusable canvas make-up bag with a Lip Butter (flavour of your choice, full-sized Body Milk and your choice of either Body Butter or Body Balm. I liked the Lavender and Rose Geranium scent as it wasn’t too strong (I prefer floral notes over a citrus/fruity scent) but you can also get the set in Sweet Orange and Vanilla (here).
£35 and over
Body gift set by Lucky Cloud Skincare, £35
If you’re not sure whether they would like the Lip Butter, why not go for the Body Gift Set? You can purchase the set with the Body Milk, Body Butter and Body Balm all in one set in either Lavender and Rose Geranium (here) or Sweet Orange and Vanilla (here).
Bear paw print scarf/sarong by Beach Candy,
was £49 on sale for £35
Another fashion item that also supports an end to animal cruelty. Beach Candy has teamed up with the World Animal Protection and talented artist Lara Pilkington to create a super stylish piece that not only looks good but does good. Behind this soft pink and purple summer gem is a strong message of support for the men and women who are working tirelessly to end bear-baiting in Pakistan. Beach Candy will donate 30% of its profits from this scarf to support the charity in its fight to rescue all remaining captive bears and to bring an end to a cruel blood sport.
Marbleous 7-piece smoke brush set by Spectrum Collections, £34.99
Did you know that some of your brushes use synthetic fibres, but for the best brushes they use animal hair? Often sable, squirrel or goat hair is used for their soft bristles to help make up blend better on your face. Spectrum Collection is a well-known cruelty-free brand selling vegan friendly make up tools. They sell fantastical brush sets like ‘mermaid’, ‘siren’ and ‘unicorn’ (go onto their site to see for yourself their amazing brightly coloured brushes!), but I love this understated rose gold, grey and white combo. This 7-piece set will cover all your make up needs for day and night and will be perfect for getting that smoky eye look. This is perfect for all make up enthusiasts who are also cruelty-free conscious!
Evander hemp grandpa shirt in navy by Braintree Clothing, £44.90
I like this men’s shirt by Braintree Clothing (also available in Ocean Blue or Stone). It’s called the ‘Grandpa shirt’ for its simple granddad collar, but it’s a re-interpretation of the classic collared shirt. The design is understated, but its cut is comfy and generous. This hemp and organic cotton blend shirt is an effortless way to add polish to even the most love-worn jeans. My OH is someone who has a smart-casual style about him and I tried to find a shirt that is unique but something that every man would be able to wear. Not everyone suits patterns and some patterns only suit certain people, but with a block coloured shirt, you can’t go wrong and navy is the new black after all!
