In my previous post where I mentioned the inspiration I got from Suzannah’s post at Adventures of Dressmaking to buy a pair of burgundy skinny jeans from New Look, I’ve noticed it seems to be the fad these days for women, regardless of age, to make a statement….not with their tops, but with coloured or patterned trousers! There’s quite a varied selection at H&M and I’ve put together some of the ones that might be somewhat more subtle if you want to pair it with a simple top and flats, heels or even boots!
My favourite is this pair of suedette pale pink platform heels from H&M (you can probably tell that’s where I’ve been today!). Simple colour that’s almost like nude, and surprisingly comfortable to wear, it’ll go easily with whatever patterned/coloured trousers you choose to pair it with:
Powder pink imitation suede court shoes £24.99, H&M
If you can find that perfect pair, here’s a simple tutorial from the Adventures in Dressmaking blog on how to make your own. Simples!
Pink low rise twill skinny trousers £14.99, H&M
Blue floral low rise twill skinny trousers £14.99, H&M
Grey floral drawstring trousers £24.99, H&M
Grey leopard print twill trousers £14.99, H&M
Black and white lace print leggings £18, River Island Any suggestions of your favourite colour or pattern for that statement pair of trousers?
